Rebecca (Becky Lu) has a communications background in radio broadcasting. Her journey began in 2011 where she was part of the inaugural group that launched KCOD Radio, the first-ever terrestrial college radio station at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA. At KCOD she served as an On-Air Personality where she hosted two music programs, Wired Live at 5 and Rock-a-Holics. Her passion for the arts opened the door to working behind-the-scenes in the radio production at Alpha Media Palm Springs. She recorded over 100 radio advertisements for local businesses in the Coachella Valley. Her multi-talented voice was broadcasted on radio stations such as U 92.7 | 937 KCLB | MIX 100.5 and more.

Becky Lu went from college radio to commercial radio, to the legendary radio program The Art Laboe Connection. The show currently broadcasts on multiple affiliate radio stations in California and Arizona. Every Sunday through Thursday, Art Laboe & Old School Becky Lu take your requests and dedications on the air. They deliver love messages to families and lovers who can’t be together and play your favorite Oldies but Goodies and cruising throwbacks!

Rebecca enjoys spending time with family, visiting her son Andrew and his fur baby Niko in San Diego. Her interests include: reading and listening to audio books, working out, attending concerts, live sporting events and conventions. She has also proudly served as a volunteer for multiple organizations throughout the Coachella Valley, including: The Palm Springs International Film Festival, Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley, Variety the Children’s Charity of the Desert and the annual St. Jude Children’s Hospital local Radiothon at Alpha Media.
