Chairwoman, World Green Growth Organization
Alejandra B. Giraldo Celis is the President and Chairwoman of the World Green Growth Organization (WGGO). She is Ambassador of World Green Economic Council. Previously, she served as the President & CEO of various companies like Apex Global Group and Consult AA Corp. She served as a foreign attorney in different law firms. With her expertise in Transactional Law, International Trade, Environmental Law, Commerce Law, and Immigration Law.
She has served as legal adviser developing and implementing regulatory compliance and environmental policies, she was hands-on with the overall coordination of operations of different companies in the pharmaceutical industry, private sector, energy sector, business development, along with proposal strategies and preparation. Alejandra is a dedicated and passionate advocate for sustainability, environmental, and development. She travels to more of 60 Countries building alliances and strong networking with GCC countries, including South American Region, South Asia Region, Europe, Africa, and North America.
Alejandra started a global initiative called World Green Growth Summit which is celebrated annually and targets more than 8,000 key stakeholders and 100+ speakers from different parts of the world; 120 countries participating to address emerging trends, policy issues, and opportunities in the energy sector. The WGG Summit is designed to connect stakeholders from the Energy, Water, Eco Waste, Smart Cities, Women in Energy, and Youth. Also, designed to connect governments officials, with Fortune executives, entrepreneurs, green economy experts, thought leaders for high-level discussions and networking.
Alejandra has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Law from La Gran Colombia University and a JD in Law from La Gran Colombia University. She holds a Master of US Legal Studies from St. John's University; a Master’s in International Sports Law from St. John's University; a Master’s in International Business Administration from EAN University; and an International Relations Graduate Certificate from Harvard University.
